At the Foshan (Guangdong) Vacuum and Semiconductor Industry Exhibition, Zhenhua Vacuum launched its self-developed magnetron optical deposition technology, creating a stir in the industry. This technology addresses the long-standing industry pain point of insufficient uniformity in large-area glass coating in traditional processes. By optimizing the magnetic field distribution of the magnetron sputtering source and the deposition rate control algorithm, it achieves a 40% improvement in coating uniformity for large-size glass (≥2m×3m). The film adhesion remains intact after 100 friction tests, three times stronger than that of traditional processes.
According to the Technical Director of Zhenhua Vacuum, the production line innovatively adopts a dual-chamber continuous coating design, which eliminates the edge effect of single-chamber coating. Meanwhile, a real-time film thickness monitoring system controls the error within ±0.1%. This design not only enhances product consistency but also increases production efficiency by 20% compared to traditional single-chamber equipment.
Currently, the production line has secured orders from leading display panel manufacturers such as BOE and TCL, primarily for the production of 8K ultra-high-definition commercial displays and automotive curved screens. With an estimated annual capacity of 500,000 square meters, it can reduce the coating costs of downstream enterprises by approximately 25%. This breakthrough breaks the foreign monopoly on large-size high-end coating equipment and advances the localization process of core technologies in China’s display industry.
